Payment Terms
Which forms of payment do you Accept?
In order of preference: Debit/Credit Card – Bank Transfer – Cash
When do I pay?
You can pay in advance, online or at collection. Systems cannot be released until payment in full is made. Our fee is fixed so you
will always know in advance how much your bill is.
Where is my invoice?
Your invoice is emailed to you in pdf (common electronic paper) format if you have any trouble opening the file please let us know. Don’t worry the total will be included in our final txt/sms notification of systems completion.
Is there VAT on your prices?
No, currently we are not VAT registered so the prices you see are the prices you pay.
Our Fixed Fee Repair Service
How Long Does it Take?
Systems usually have a 3 day turn around which includes getting parts, however, some systems may take longer especially if the fault is intermittent as diagnoses usually takes much longer. We do offer a loan system to compensate for any delays and give you that ‘always up’ feeling that we provide to our business clients.
What if we can’t fix it?
In the unlikely event, we do operate a No Fix, No Fee policy. This policy states that if it takes any longer than 30mins to diagnose the fault you will be charged in full, however we will help and advise you on the best course of action. The technology industry changes at such a rapid pace often, its not that things can’t be fixed, its just not economically feasible to fix them.
Is the price the same for Laptops and Desktops Systems?
Yes, the price is the same for all systems and is fixed for the duration of the repair. Our fee will always remain fixed unless prior notification.
Is Malware/Spyware/Antivirus removal and prevention included?
Yes, we have the Dee.ie PC Standard that we adhere to, this is our own design that leaves all PC’s & laptops fully diagnosed, health checked
and to a modern standard including OS updates, automatic antivirus & malware update and detection. It doesn’t expire and our standard is in a state of constant development and is tested to ensure minimal system resources are being used.
What is Express Repair?
Our Express Repair is a service for people in a rush. All our systems are repaired on a first come first served queued basis, however if you choose express repair it puts your system at the very front of the queue. Knowing you are in a hurry for the return of your system we will do everything in our power to return your system to you as fast as possible.
You recommend you backup our system before repair, what if we can’t?
This is a tricky subject, our policy is to always backup but the true extent and complex depth of some repair issues this is not always feasible. With our business clients we usually manage and control the backup procedure and offer recovery services but this is costly and outside of the scope of our fixed fee repair service. We recommend that if you have a major concern to let us know when booking in the system so we can advise on best course of action at that time.
What Radius do you cover?
We cover the whole of Ireland. Our local area the systems are picked up and returned by our own collection and delivery providers. However outside of the greater County Derry and County Donegal we offer collection by courier included in our price, so nothing changes, however you will have to ensure you package the system before a courier will collect it.
You mention ‘Economical Feasibility’ if mine isn’t worth repairing, do you sell PC’s/Laptop’s?
No, our principal of offering independent advice is not to sell parts and other hardware as then our advice will be no better than the rest of the companies out there, that recommend things that best suit their interests. We will however give you our recommendation at the time to replace a system, can even help you order it and if needed we can usually loan you one till your new system arrives.
Do you clean our system physically?
Yes we do, dust isn’t a killer as much as it used to be but it certainly doesn’t help the cooling aspect of any technological system, so we as part of the standard service clean out obstructive things inside your laptop’s and PC’s.
What is Registering a System?
This is just the initial signup processes we use when we take control of your system so we can track its progress throughout its time with use. There are several check points to ensure you system stays in moving throughout to its end point of repair.
What if I don’t collect the system?
We are not a PC storage company so we give you a reasonable time to collect your PC after that we charge a daily fee until it exceeds the price of your system then we donate it to a charity. The initial repair fee is still owed by you, if your having any problems or issues that prevent collection, just let us know and we will see what we can do to help.
What if my system is under warranty with manufacture?
We recommend you get them to fix it, however we do realise this isn’t always easy or as straight forward as it sounds. We also know that your manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t cover a lot of things that usually go wrong so sometimes depending on the manufacture we can work with them to resolve this issue for you, our fee still stands, but the pain of having to deal with them is usually reduced substantially.
What is this Dee.ie Ltd Service Point Plan?
This is the service that we provide to every system, with our experience we often find that users actually don’t know their system is broke or in the process of breaking, so we will fix the initial problem that you requested and service your system to allow for optimum running and longevity. This is a very similar service we offer our business systems and why we have been known for our ability to keep systems ‘always up’. This is why when you get your system back it will always update itself and help to keep its health status monitored.
We are so successful in the business IT support area because we understand the missing link that most companies miss. The user just wants it to work and work well, they don’t care about the technical side of things they just want the end result they came to their system for.
Our Fixed Fee Remote Services
What is Remote Repair?
This is a modern concept used by use for over 4 years, to keep our business clients up and running on a day and night basis. Basically we take control of your system via the internet and fix it just as if we were sitting in front of it. There is very little we can’t do to repair or support an issue via remote repair but if there is, you can always use our fixed free repair service to take advantage of.
Is my computer’s security compromised by giving you access remotely?
Plain and Simple NO! – This is the modern world and this is how business systems are fixed, monitored and secured. We use the top, paid and fully licensed supply of remote control software which uses the same security protocols that are used to protect you money inside your bank. We are not a guy in his bedroom, we are technology specialists. We are experienced in multi redundant environments, we design technology based systems, are fully insured and trusted by some of Ireland’s top firms and even have our own Research and Development program.
Will your company rumage through our my private files?
Plain and Simple NO! – We are only concerned with solving the logged fault and leave your system. For total accountability all our sessions are recorded and stored in our own private network cloud. You can request a recording to be forwarded to you for an additional fee. You can watch exactly what we do when we are in your system, live or from a recorded play back.
What kind of internet connection do I need for remote work to be carried out?
You need a broadband connection preferably fibre or fixed line. Your systems internet connection should be stable. Sometimes 3G mobile dongles in bad reception areas are not suffice. Most of all fixed line broadband connections are perfect for remote work.
Do I need to be there for you to conduct your remote work?
The first time YES, we need you to allow us to make a connection with your system. Once this has been preformed you can leave us to it, or watch the choice is yours.
What about my schedule time of repair?
Our repairs are carried out in the order they are received, we could start the repair work in 5 minutes or 24 hours it all depends on where you are in our queue. We ask everyone to leave their PC on and connected to the internet until you receive an email stating your repair is complete.
What is Session Recordings?
Every time we access your computer remotely we create a recording of what we have done. This is independent of the technician and is also used to ensure we keep to a high standard of repair so we log these repairs and unlike anyone else in the industry we make them available to the client. They can look at a later date and request a copy which will be delivered to them in an electronic format.
