So you need some support? Sure you have heard the phrases, Technical Support – Helpdesk Support – IT Support – Remote Support – IT procurement.
Basically this boils down to the same thing who do you phone when you have a technology problem? Anyone in business from 1 to 1000 pc’s should seriously consider a support contract, our advice is not to weigh to heavy on the side of the legal standpoint but ensure its clear what you or your company is going to receive from each other and when? There is no single provider to support all the businesses out there, most support agents have an adhoc way of understanding and providing support.

A Computer Associates report stated that a key difference between European companies and US companies is? US companies have their IT guys beside them in the boardroom. EU companies keeps theirs in the basement.
There needs to be a bond, a trust that is nurtured between you and the IT support, without this you can be assured you’re not utilizing your support company correctly.

The benefits well outweigh any of the drawbacks when it comes to outsourcing your IT. Good IT support companies are living in the future, so they can guide you and advise you of what direction you should be paying attention too. Your IT contract can be structured in a way that rewards innovation by your provider. Anyone can fix a problem once it’s a problem but few can fix a problem before it becomes a problem.
