Budget Cuts
Posted on October 21st, 2010
As the latest UK budget cuts are revealed, we get an idea of the shape of things over the coming years and still to be announced next month the Irish budget cuts will be unveiled for 2011. It isn’t a matter of guessing how bad these cuts are going to be its more about just making the predictions official.
Both these cuts have a direct effect on every citizen and put even more pressure on businesses to find more and more efficient ways to operate. As the recession kicked off you could see more business looking to technology to help them make the needed cuts as the pre recession business approach was “hummm good idea, we can look at that later” now it’s “is it done yet, we need this to survive”.
The interesting part of this is everything from call centres to corner stores have looked to the techno world and have embraced it will open arms. Its no longer about complex, costly, non effective or efficient systems it’s about, simple, lean and accountable systems. This is how we have expressed things should have been from the beginning.
There is no doubting this outlook will continue until faith is restored (if at all possible) into the economy which is going to make for a very interesting 5 years as we will see humans and technology merge like never before.
