Congrat!!! To the city of Derry for its amazing effort in winning its bid to become the UK’s first city of culture 2013. Dee.ie would like to thank all the organisers and contributors for all the countless and unflinching work to see off Birmingham, Sheffield and Norwich all finalists. We are committed to ensure all our web development projects were possible can help make everyone aware of what a talented place this is.
There will always be talk of what jobs are going to be created and what investment it might bring to the city but the fact that the Maiden city has seen off all other contenders and been recognised as for its diverse cultural talent is indeed a reality that can never be taken away. This didn’t come easy and for the most part its citizen’s might not see its direct ramification for years to come, we can rest assured history has indeed been made.
It’s the people that make a place and now that support and recognition will be available for the next generation the world will get to see exactly what we have to offer.
